The world-famous composer Leoš Janáček was born in Hukvaldy in the Moravian-Silesian region. He is the author of the famous opera Her Stepdaughter, which premiered in 1904. Pirate’s Corridor, the spectacularly illuminated Hell, Robber’s Cave or the stalactite formations of shapes of colors named White Mouse, Elephant Ears, Rococo Dolls or Gingerbread Cottage – you can see all that on a visit to the longest dolomite cave in the Czech Republic. The physically undemanding 350 m long trail will take you to the bottom of the cave to the largest underground lake in the country. If the crystal clear greenish surface tempts you for a swim, better think twice: the water in the lake is only 8°C.

Enjoy great coffee and food in a setting that looks like a scene out of Jules Verne's novel Steel City! Head to the trendy café with its own roastery and bakery, which was created in the factory boiler room of a former coal mine in the world's unique industrial area of Dolní Vítkovice.

Trail Park Dolní Morava has great trail potential. Single trails are becoming more and more popular not only among seasoned bikers but also among the general public. These are one-way, mostly downhill routes, suitable for both beginners and experienced riders.
